How to Create a Brand Monitor with Rankflo AI?

Follow these simple steps to set up your first monitor.

Step 1: Sign in and Open the Monitors Section

Sign in to Rankflo AI. From the left sidebar, look under "Monitoring" and click on "Monitors". This page shows all your active monitors, their visibility scores, mentions, citation rank, and the AI platforms each one tracks.

Step 2: Click the New Monitor Button

Find the purple "+ New Monitor" button at the top right corner. Click it. A 4-step setup wizard opens with a progress bar at the top.

Step 3: Choose a Template (Step 1 of 4)

Pick a template that fits your goal:

• Brand Mentions: Track mentions of your brand across LLMs.
• Search Queries: Find relevant trends using LLM-generated search queries.
• Sentiment Analysis: Gauge sentiment in brand-related LLM conversations.
• Organic Search: Monitor brand visibility in AI-driven search results.

You can also click "Skip template and create custom monitor" if you want to start from scratch. Click "Next" to move on.

Step 4: Add Basic Information (Step 2 of 4)

Fill in the details for your monitor:

• Name: Give your monitor a clear name (for example, Brand Mentions).
• Persona: Pick the persona you want to track from (for example, Digital Transformation Leader).
• Description: Add a short note about what this monitor does.
• Language: Choose the language for the prompts.
• Country: Pick the region you want to track.
• Initial Prompt Instructions: Adjust the base instructions if needed. The default tells the AI to recommend tools in your industry without naming your brand.

Click "Next".

Step 5: Review and Edit Prompts (Step 3 of 4)

Rankflo automatically generates a list of prompts based on your inputs. Review them carefully. You can:

• Edit any prompt directly.
• Delete one with the X button.
• Add a new prompt with the "+ Add New Prompt" button.
• Click "Regenerate Prompts" if you want a fresh set.

Make sure the prompts capture the exact mentions you care about. Click "Next".

Step 6: Select AI Models (Step 4 of 4)

Choose which AI search engines you want to track. Options include ChatGPT, ClaudeAI, Gemini AI, Grok AI, and Perplexity AI. Click each one you want to add. Selected platforms get a purple border.

Once done, click "Create Monitor". Your monitor is now live.

Step 7: View Your Monitor

Go back to the Monitors list. Your new monitor appears with a "Generating responses" tag while Rankflo runs the prompts. Click on the monitor to open the full details page.

Step 8: Explore Monitor Tabs

Inside your monitor, you get five tabs:

• Prompts: See every prompt with its visibility score, type, volume, difficulty, and brands mentioned.
• Responses: Read the full AI answers Rankflo captured.
• Citations: Find which sources AI models cited.
• Competitors: See which competitors showed up in the responses.
• Settings: Edit, pause, or manage the monitor.

Step 9: Fine-Tune in Settings

Open the "Settings" tab to make changes. From here you can:

• Edit the name, description, country, language, and persona.
• Add or remove AI platforms.
• Switch the status from Active to Paused.
• Update the initial prompt instructions.
• Click "Save Changes" to apply edits.

Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" if you want to delete the monitor. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

That's it. Your brand monitor is now tracking AI mentions, and you have full control over how it runs.
